Fermi Questions Challenge tests your estimation skills with order-of-magnitude questions. Players compete to get closest to the correct answer without going over (or under) by too much. Questions range from verifiable facts to back-of-the-envelope calculations that require logical reasoning and educated guessing.
A question is displayed and all players have a limited time to submit their numerical answer. You can see who has submitted, but not their answers. Submit before time runs out to avoid the penalty!
After all answers are in (or time expires), the correct answer and explanation are revealed. See how everyone did and compare your estimate to others. Click "Next" when ready to continue.
Points are awarded based on how close your estimate is on a logarithmic scale. Being within a factor of ~1.1x earns 10 points, within ~2x earns 4 points, and so on. Missing an answer costs you -2 points.
After all rounds, final rankings are displayed based on your total score.
