Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Market Making Games ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Trading Interview B.V., a company registered in Rotterdam, Netherlands, under Chamber of Commerce number 96095911. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the marketmakinggames.com website and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using an email address and password or through social login providers (Google or Apple). When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and linked social accounts
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Each account is for individual use only and may not be shared with or transferred to other persons. To enforce this, logging in on a new device will invalidate sessions on other devices.

If you register using a social login provider and an account with your email address already exists, your social login will be automatically linked to that existing account.

4. Description of Service

Market Making Games provides an online platform for interactive trading simulation games designed to help users practice market making and trading concepts. The Service includes:

  • Free and premium games
  • Leaderboards and statistics tracking
  • Multiplayer game rooms (public, friends-only, or private with invite codes)
  • Tournaments with scheduling and event reminders
  • Real-time chat functionality within game rooms
  • Friends system and social features
  • Customizable user profiles with privacy controls

No Guarantee of Results: While our games are designed for educational and entertainment purposes, we make no guarantee that using Market Making Games will have any effect on your trading skills, interview outcomes, or career prospects. The games are simulations and do not reflect real market conditions.

5. Subscription and Payment

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
  • Provide valid payment information
  • Authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals

Refund Policy: Due to the immediate delivery of digital content and services, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits once access has been granted to subscription features. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Prices are displayed in EUR. Local currency conversion and applicable taxes (including VAT) are calculated at checkout based on your location.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service, including but not limited to games, game mechanics, software, text, graphics, logos, images, and user interface designs, is the property of Trading Interview B.V. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our software or games
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on our games or content

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users, including through chat messages
  • Spamming or flooding chat rooms with excessive messages
  • Sharing your account credentials with others
  • Attempting to circumvent security features or access controls
  • Manipulating game scores, leaderboards, or statistics through cheating, automation, or exploits
  • Interfering with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service
  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

8. Leaderboards and Fair Play

Market Making Games features competitive leaderboards. We reserve the right to:

  • Remove or modify scores that we determine were obtained through cheating or exploits
  • Suspend or ban accounts engaged in unfair play
  • Reset leaderboards as needed for maintenance or fairness

All decisions regarding score validity and fair play are at our sole discretion and are final.

9. User Content

If you submit any content to the Service (such as usernames, profile bios, avatars, or chat messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
  • Google and Apple: Social login authentication
  • Amazon Web Services: Email delivery and infrastructure

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that the results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.

12. Limitation of Liability

IN NO CASE SHALL TRADING INTERVIEW B.V., ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, CLAIM, OR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trading Interview B.V. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may request termination of your account at any time by contacting us at hello@marketmakinggames.com. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
