Market of Cards is an advanced trading game where players make markets on card values from a normal deck of cards. Each player holds 2 private cards, and center cards are revealed one at a time. Players take turns quoting bid/ask prices, and others can buy, sell, or pass. The game tests your probability skills, trading instincts, and ability to manage positions under time pressure.
Game Setup
You have 180 seconds to review your 2-card hand and plan your strategy. Calculate your expected values and think about how your cards affect the overall distribution.
The active player must make a market by setting bid and ask prices. You have limited time to quote. Other players see your market and prepare to respond.
All other players can simultaneously choose to BUY (at the ask), SELL (at the bid), or PASS. The player who reacts first gets the trade. Other players can't trade with the market maker anymore.
One center card is revealed, adding to the known information. Players update their valuations as more cards become visible.
After all center cards are revealed, the table value is calculated. Each player's P&L is determined by the trades that they participated in during the game.
